We are thrilled that we won TWO Lonely Planet Travel Blogger Awards! We were the only Travel Bloggers nominated for 3 Travel Awards. We were nominated for Best Microblogging, Best Themed and Best Videos ( for our soultravelers3 Channel here on Youtube!). We won all three by a landslide in the popular vote!! Thanks for making us so popular! Thank you all dear readers/watchers for your votes and support! We then went onto win TWO awards after the judges added their 50% of the vote. Only one other blog won two awards, so this is quite amazing for a simple family on a world tour on a very low budget!! We are the only ones in the contest who also take thousands of disadvantaged school kids with us virtually through Reach The World and are proud of that too! This was our acceptance speech used at the party announcing the winners on March 26, 2009 for our Best Themed Award. We give a hearty congratulations to all the nominees and winners and we are thrilled to be represented along side the likes of National Geographic and Chris Elliott!
